Why I Built MESA

I'm Joshua. I've had a leg length discrepancy my entire adult life and didn't know it until I was 34.

My life has been spent on my feet. Sixteen-hour days in hospitality. Gymnastics, wrestling, cycling, trail running, climbing, mountaineering. Pain showed up everywhere on one side: ankle, knee, hip, sciatica, sacrum, low back, shoulder. Different sports brought it out differently. Every doctor had a different theory.

I finally got a hip X-ray. The orthopedic surgeon told me I had a curve in my spine. That sometimes you just get old and have to give up the things you love.

"I couldn't accept that."

I went home, measured myself, and figured out I had a 10mm leg length discrepancy. When I brought it to my PT, he told me not to put a lift in my shoe because it would cause more problems than it solved.

I politely finished the session and never went back. I put a lift in my shoe that night.

The pain started lifting within weeks. I got my life back.

My Why

MESA was built to fill the gap. The gap in your body. The gap in the products. The gap in the conversation.

If you're in a similar situation, this is for you.
